Every year, I join my fellow photographers at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science to photograph high school seniors from New Legacy High School. New Legacy High School is a Denver charter school for young parents. It’s half high school and half early learning center so the students and their children can learn at the same time. I love volunteering to photograph these sessions every year. When I showed up this time, the organizers came up to me and said “Sorry, all we have for you is a Denver senior boy.” I said great, why are you sorry? Lol! Apparently, a lot of Denver senior photographers prefer to photograph girls which I think is kind of silly. The last time I did these sessions, I had two boys and one girl and they were all so much fun. This year, the graduating class was smaller and there were more photographers, so I only had one session.
Keith’s Denver Senior Boy Session
When I met Keith, I knew he must be a great student and dad. He was totally prepared and so polite. He even wrote me a review after our session, which was so sweet. Feel free to check it out on Google! Keith broke my wardrobe rule of not wearing all black to a session. It totally worked though! The black-tie on black dress shirt was a very sophisticated and modern look. And he pulled it off so well! We always do these sessions in City Park. Since Keith has just a sophisticated style, I stuck to the more modern parts of the park around the back of the museum. It’s my favorite area to shoot anyway. I love the geometric walls and floating sculpture.
