To me, Opera = Glam! I love being surrounded by opera lovers and capturing the glam of these events! Opera event photography is always a fun evening for me. Plus, I often get a glimpse behind the scenes of opera productions, like hanging out a bit behind stage or seeing all the work that goes into a show before opening night, which is always a thrill! This event was “Friday Night at the Opera,” an Inside OC event for art and music-loving young professionals.
Inside OC is a wonderful option for younger opera lovers who want to meet like-minded people and see amazing shows. InsideOC members have their own VIP areas to hang out in and grab complimentary drinks before the show and during intermission. The group is all seated together so there is a great vibe. Of course, Inside OC offers a great season ticket discount and even a kick off party to celebrate each new season. And if you’re not an opera lover yet, it’s a great way to try out opera with your friends.

There is no better way to add glam to a VIP event than to have a professional photographer on hand. Everyone feels like they are part of an exciting evening and it helps create buzz. Inside OC subscribers are such a fun group and I always love photographing them! These photos are from the VIP areas during Verdi’s comic opera, Falstaff, last season.
P.S. I absolutely love that colorful Vance Kirkland painting in some of the backgrounds. It lives in Kevin Taylor’s, the restaurant in Ellie Caulkins Opera House, where the VIP’s gathered to enjoy some libations.
