Summer and fall are normally prime times for senior sessions but I was so happy when I got an inquiry for a session in the middle of December! Juliana graduated in the middle of the school year and finding a senior photographer just before the holidays wasn’t easy. I’m normally out of town that time of year but I couldn’t travel during the pandemic. I’m so glad I was available for this awesome session! We got these DCPA senior pictures done just in time too! Juliana graduated just two days after we took these.

We went to the Denver Center for Performing Arts for this session. The performing arts complex provided the perfect mix of fun and sophistication! I always love doing sessions in this area. There’s so much color and texture to work with. Plus, with events on hold, this was the first time I was back, working in the performing arts district in almost a year!
Even though these photos were taken in the middle of winter, Juliana made it look like a summer’s day! She braved the cold in her stylish dress and heels. Luckily, it was warm in the sun! Plus, all the bright colors in the background warm these photos right up. I love that she brought her cap and gown too. The blue looked great with all the murals in the area and it was the perfect opportunity to get classic graduation photos since she couldn’t “walk” due to the pandemic.
In the fall, Juliana plans to go to school to become a nurse and stay local so she can see her little sisters grow up. I love how passionate she is about helping people and how close she is to her family. Her middle sister was also very helpful with posing ideas!
