Young Dancer’s Competition | Denver Dance Photographer

As a Denver dance photographer, I get to photograph some amazing professional dancers. But, I don’t always get the chance to photograph kids dancing. The Young Dancer’s Competition put on by the Denver Ballet Guild was a great opportunity to do just that. There were so many incredible dancers of all ages learning and competing. And at the end of the competition, we were treated to a performance by Boulder Ballet! These are the professional dancers of the future and I am so excited to see where life takes them!

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to photography more than just the competition itself. I got the change to capture a master class before the presentation, and go backstage to see the kids getting ready and practicing. I love being able to tell the story of an event and show all the things that are going on, that the public doesn’t always get to see.
