Ryan wanted to do a portrait session with me, just for fun! He’s very interested in fashion and loves thrifting clothes and accessories to put together unique outfits. He wanted to get some fashion portraits showing off his unique style. I absolutely love the outfits he put together for this vampire inspired session. He drew inspiration from vampire portrayals of the 1990’s. Ryan’s accessories really completed his outfits. It was clear he put a lot of work into his ensembles. I’m so glad he let me capture them! This session was so much fun. It was such a great way for me to get out of my comfort zone and get creative.

Ryan’s Fashion Portraits

To fit with the theme, I did a lot of research and called around until I found a cemetery that allowed us to do our session there. We made sure no one else was there so we weren’t disrupting anyone, and we stayed on the roads so as not to disturb the graves. I love that this cemetery had some big, old trees and one still had some color, even though there was snow on the ground. It reminded me of Mt. Hope Cemetary in Rochester, where I went to school. We did a couple of photo shoots there as part of our classes and I still think of it as one of the most beautiful places in Rochester. Next to this cemetery was an open space, so we did the rest of the session there, during the perfectly moody sunset.
