It’s been just about a year since I took Max’s branding headshots. He got new Denver musician headshots for social media and a new website he was putting together for his audio production business. The website went up earlier this year and I love how it turned out! See it here: https://www.maxdeadroom.com/ It is always super exciting seeing my photos in use Max put the photos from this session all over the site!

Max’s Denver Musician Headshots

We did half of this session in Max’s Cap Hill apartment so we could get him with his gear and instruments, and the other half we did around the neighborhood. I loved his eclectic instruments and decor. That green chair against the red curtain is my favorite! I’m extra happy we started the session in his home because I got some adorable portraits of him and his cat! The cat’s name is Gilly, by the way! Isn’t she a cutie?

While I was out scouting the area around Max’s apartment, I found some sidewalk graffiti that said almost. For no reason I can explain, I knew we had to take some photos with it. Max ended up loving it so much that we took more on our way back, in a different outfit. I love it when my clients and I have the same vision and are on the same page! Max wanted to show that he’s not a 9-5 business cubicle-type guy but he is still serious about his work and a hard worker. To illustrate this, I wanted to get some juxtaposition so for the outdoor photos, I made sure to get a variety of backgrounds, from grungy to natural to classic. I love that Denver offers all of that within a couple of blocks!
