New Years Resolution | Denver Headshots

It’s a new year and a great time to start thinking about some big goals and changes in your life. My main goal this year is to engage more. I want to give more of myself to my friends, family, and client and I want to be more involved in politics, my community, and activism. This all involves showing more of myself, more of my thoughts, words, and actions. And also, more of my face, in person and in photos. When people feel they know you through your image, the world opens up.

If any of your goals or resolutions involve showing more of yourself to the world, it’s probably time to get new headshots. Fresh, current headshots that truly show who you are, can make a huge difference for that next audition, that new job you want, or to attract clients to your brand. A photo is the first way someone is going to “meet” you, and often the most lasting impression from a resume or website.

Portraits can also be a celebration! We should all have the goal to love ourselves more and embrace our unique beauty. A portrait session can be the perfect treat for yourself or a loved one to show how beautiful you really are.

My main goal when making portraits is to make my client feel comfortable, relaxed, and like themselves. Standing in front of a camera for an hour can be so stressful. It’s my job to make it feel like a fun afternoon stroll, full of laughter and genuine smiles.
When you get to your session, we pick out outfits together and chat a bit. Then, I walk you through the basics of posing, so you never have to ask “what do I do with my hands!?” I want my sessions to feel like a walk in the park with a new friend.
